If you are talking about a bike engine, it is no big deal. Just strip it down to a near bare frame, stand the motor up on the ground (on it's side), and lay the frame over it. Bolt it in and reassmble. If you're talking about a car, go rent a hoist. Runs about $25.00 a day usually, and definitely worth the money.
